With Occupancy Certificate due within weeks, and in preparation for our first residents, we have recruited a great team. Please welcome Linda Bowden, an experienced mental health social worker, teacher and accomplished sculptor as House Manager, Cluny Archibald, who had a career in marketing before returning to full time study, and who is also a fitness coach, as our live-in Caretaker. continue reading

Habilis welcomed The Hon Bronnie Taylor MLC, Minister for Mental Health, and Hon Alistair Henskens, Minister for Family and Community Services, to our Summer Hill site in December. The two ministers joined members of the Habilis Board, and representatives of our architects, project managers and others to look at plans, see the scale of the site, and to get oriented to the location. continue reading...

This week Habilis received approval for a development application for our first complex at 2 Parramatta Road Summer Hill This will house 20 people in individual self-contained units with their own kitchens, bathrooms and balconies. The stylish addition and adaptation of existing buildings was designed by award winning architects Collins and Turner to create a pleasant living environment facing the Hawthorne Canal green belt. continue reading...
